Rizwan had made several such statements on the religious aspect of the game, as his recent statement has created a massive debate around the role of this aspect in sports.

Rizwan, the star wicket-keeper and captain, openly admitted at an Islamic event that he proudly attempted to convert a coach from England to Islam and gifted him a copy of the Quran. When I stayed in the pavilion, I saw a beer in his hand, and he felt ashamed, only to hide it behind his body. Later, when we met at the pavilion after the end of a game, I gave him the Quran, as he was waiting for me after the end of that game.The Pakistan star added.
