Rashid Khan returns for ODI series against South Africa

While Afghanistan and New Zealand are frustrated with the ongoing Noida Test, which hasn’t seen the toss yet at the end of the fourth day, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the 17-member ODI squad for their three-match ODI series against South Africa. Star leg-spinner Rashid Khan has returned to the squad for the upcoming ODI series.

Afghanistan and South Africa will play a three-match ODI series in Sharjah, starting on September 18. It will be their first ODI series, as they have only met twice in the ODIs during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tournaments.

It will be the first ODI series for Afghanistan since last March when they hosted a three-match ODI series against Ireland in Sharjah. On the other hand, South Africa are also ready for their first ODI in 2024, as they last played a three-match home ODI series against India last December.
