Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated a memorable victory in the Indian Premier League 2026 season as star batter Virat Kohli delivered a match-winning performance against the Gujarat Titans. Kohli’s exceptional innings not only guided his team to a crucial win but also reaffirmed his status as one of the most consistent performers in the tournament’s history.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution, RCB surprised Kohli with a special gift—a 43-inch LED television—highlighting the franchise’s appreciation for his efforts on the field. The gesture added a celebratory touch to an already remarkable night, drawing attention from fans and the cricketing community alike.

The moment quickly went viral across social media, with supporters praising both Kohli’s brilliance and the team’s thoughtful acknowledgement. As RCB continues its campaign in IPL 2026, performances like these from Kohli are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s journey toward playoff contention.

Virat Kohli Receives 43-inch LED TV as Top Performer in RCB’s Strong IPL 2026 Run

The legendary Indian batter was awarded the “Top Performer” in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru dressing room following their fifth win of the tournament, as the franchise continued its strong campaign in the Indian Premier League 2026 season. With five victories from seven matches, RCB currently sits in second place on the points table, underlining their consistency and strong overall form.

The franchise highlighted Kohli’s achievement on its official social media platforms, praising his commanding performance in a celebratory post. RCB stated, “Pressure up. King Kohli shows up. A brilliant 81, featuring 8 fours and 4 sixes, along with a 100-plus stand with DDP, makes Virat Kohli the NVY TV Top Performer of the Match.” The post further added, “He has been awarded a 43-inch LED TV, with picture quality that stands out. It also turned into one of the most talked-about sponsor award moments.”

In the match against the Gujarat Titans, the veteran batter, often called the “Chase Master,” delivered a crucial knock of 81 runs, striking 8 fours and 4 sixes. He also built a vital partnership of over 100 runs with Devdutt Padikkal, helping power RCB to their fifth win of the season and further strengthening their position in the IPL 2026 standings.

Kohli and Padikkal Power RCB to Thrilling Chase Against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026

Chasing a daunting target of 206, Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully reached the finish line in 18.5 overs, driven by superb half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal in a high-pressure encounter.

Gujarat Titans earlier posted a strong total of 205/3, powered by a magnificent century from Sai Sudharsan. The left-hander struck a fluent 100 off 58 balls—his third IPL ton—and anchored a dominant 128-run opening stand with skipper Shubman Gill, who contributed 32 off 24 balls. Sudharsan controlled the innings throughout, handling both pace and spin with authority and also reached major milestones, including becoming the fastest to 2000 IPL runs, underlining his exceptional form.

In reply, RCB suffered an early setback with the dismissal of Jacob Bethell for 14 off 10 balls, but Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal completely shifted the momentum with a match-defining 115-run partnership for the second wicket. Kohli played a vintage innings of 81 off 44 balls, bringing up his fifty in just 30 deliveries, while Padikkal complemented him perfectly with a quickfire 55 off 27 balls. Both batters confidently neutralised the GT attack, including Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, and Rashid Khan, keeping RCB firmly ahead in the chase.

GT briefly clawed their way back into the contest as both set batters departed in quick succession, along with Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma, reducing RCB to 173/5. However, Krunal Pandya (23 off 12) and Tim David held their nerve under pressure and guided RCB home with seven balls to spare. Earlier, despite Sudharsan’s brilliant century setting up the platform, GT’s total was restricted by RCB’s disciplined death bowling, conceding just 31 runs in the final four overs—an effort that ultimately proved decisive in the outcome.
