Priya Saroj recalls her love story with Rinku Singh

In the funny conversation, Priyan opened up about the story from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 when the batter smashed five sixes in an over to win the contest for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

“I have never appeared in pictures, but I have been with him since 2022. It was a very funny moment. That day (during Rinku’s five sixes in IPL 2023), we were shouting so loudly at home that Papa kept asking, ' What happened, why are you all shouting? Four sixes had already been hit, and when the fifth one came, there is even a video of it.” Saroj expressed in the video.

“Then a video call came from Suman Gill’s sister Shaini and Diksha (Nitish Rana’s wife Saachi). We were thinking Papa won’t agree like this; he is a very different kind of man, he doesn’t even know what cricket or IPL is, we will have to explain everything to him. He said no. This is the truth.” She addressed.

How Rinku Singh has been performing lately

Rinku has smashed 702 runs in 35 innings of the T20Is at an average of 36.94 and a strike rate of 156.34 with the help of three half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 69 runs. In the recent three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club, the southpaw smashed 37 runs on two outings.

The Uttar Pradesh-born Indian batter smashed 295 runs in the 2026 season of the IPL out of 11 innings at an average of 59 and a blistering strike rate of 148.98 with the help of two half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 83 runs.
