Rinku Singh had fans in splits with a hilarious courtside interaction at a London Lions basketball game, using his time off after missing out on India's Afghanistan T20I and Asian Games squads

The Indian batter, Rinku Singh, has fans with a funny moment as he was present at a basketball match in London. The star player hasn’t been included in the Indian squad for their three-match T20I series against Afghanistan at home and is also out of the Asian Games 2026 in Japan.
To use the free time, Rinku decided to spend some time in London, where he was invited to watch a basketball game at the Copper Box arena. A video of his interaction in that program, through his fluent English with the host, went viral on social media platforms.

Rinku hasn’t been known much for his fluent English. But he was invited onto the court and was interviewed by the host of the match. Since the questions were being asked in English, it was anticipated to be hard for the Indian star to respond and ended up creating a memorable moment.

“Yes. Very enjoyable, first time here, very good feeling. Yeah, very good! Second time in London and first-time watching basketball.” Rinku expressed this in the interaction when asked about his stay in London and whether he was enjoying the basketball game.

The left-handed batter also revealed that hitting sixes would always remain his favourite thing to do on the surface. His last appearance for the blue brigade came in July 2026, when he was part of the T20I squad for the series against Zimbabwe, which was played at the Harare Sports Club.
Rinku Singh to get married on December 4 with MP Priya Saroj in Lucknow
Rinku is reportedly going to get married to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj on December 04, 2026, in Lucknow. The wedding ceremony is going to take place at the Ramada Hotel in Lucknow, where both of their family members will be present. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star and Priya got engaged on June 8.
The couple planned to get married earlier, but the wedding was postponed after the tragic death of Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchand Singh, after his battle with cancer. The star player and Priya have known each other for some time and were introduced through a mutual connection.

The southpaw, who has smacked 702 runs in 35 innings of the T20I format for India at an average of 36.94 and a blistering strike rate of 156.34, thanks to three half-centuries and the best score of unbeaten 69, hopes to cement his place in India’s T20I squad.
