Having looked like one of the best teams in the first few weeks of the tournament, PBKS lost their form and eventually finished outside the playoff places. Rajasthan Royals eventually grabbed the final playoff spot, ending Punjab’s campaign.
Shreyas Iyer’s team started IPL 2026 brilliantly and remained unbeaten during the first phase of the tournament. However, Punjab later suffered a series of defeats that completely changed their season. Even though PBKS won their final league match against Lucknow Super Giants, other results did not go in their favour and they were knocked out of the playoffs race.

The video also included Iyer saying “Chardi Kalaa,” which means staying positive and keeping high spirits. His message showed that the team wants to learn from this season and come back stronger next year.
