Watch: Shubman Gill smacks Anshul Kamboj for massive six during CSK vs GT clash in IPL 2026
The Gujarat Titans captain, Shubman Gill, smacked the CSK pacer, Anshul Kamboj, for a massive six during the CSK vs GT fixture of the Indian Premier League 2026.

When the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) posted a struggling knock of 158 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Gujarat Titans just needed to get a strong start with the bat inside the powerplay and kill the momentum. And the opening pair of the visitors, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, did that exactly.
The CSK captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, struggled to get going in the first half of their batting under the heat as the ball was seaming inside the powerplay before gripping and bouncing from the spinners, making it incredibly hard for the batters to deliver.

Anshul Kamboj was excellent with just three singles in his very first over of the defense. But Shubman Gill decided to put early pressure on the Haryana bowler from the very first ball of the sixth and final over of the powerplay.
It was a fuller-length delivery at the stumps from the right-arm pacer as Gill picked the length early and then shoveled it high into the stands at the wide long-on region. He brought his bottom hand into play and got the rewards.

That wasn’t the only six of the evening for the GT captain, who read the flighted delivery from Anshul Kamboj and brought his wrist into play to smash it high into the stands at the wide long-on region. He went with the arm ball to put the ball into the stands.
The right-handed batter stood tall to swivel across and pick the length delivery to hammer Jamie Overton’s second ball for a massive six over the long leg region. He was finally dismissed for 33 runs off 23 balls with the help of three sixes and one boundary at a strike rate of around 150.
