Seven-time champions and the defending champions Australia Women were the first to advance to the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 Semi-finals, as they have already earned nine points after five matches with four wins and one no result. New Zealand Women chose to field first on Saturday, where Pakistan Women scored 92/5 in 25 overs before the final rain interruption. After the timely start of the match, when Pakistan Women were struggling at 52/3 in 12.2 overs, the first rain interruption occurred, forcing the game to be reduced to 46 overs per side.
The next rain interruption happened at the end of the 25th over. As it ate away more than one hour and 30 minutes, the match was set to be restarted with 36 overs per side. But another rain forced more delay, and the game was ultimately ended with no result.
