Seven-time champions and the defending champions Australia Women were the first to advance to the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 Semi-finals, as they have already earned nine points after five matches with four wins and one no result. The second-placed side South Africa Women have booked their place for the Semi-finals of the tournament on Saturday (October 18) night after the no result of the match between Pakistan Women and New Zealand Women, as Colombo rain once again disrupted the tournament. New Zealand Women chose to field first on Saturday, where Pakistan Women scored 92/5 in 25 overs before the final rain interruption. After the timely start of the match, when Pakistan Women were struggling at 52/3 in 12.2 overs, the first rain interruption occurred, forcing the game to be reduced to 46 overs per side.
