TNPL 2025: Madurai Panthers vs Chepauk Super Gillies full match highlights

Again, a dominating performance by the boys in the golden jersey. Through the win over Siechem Madurai Panthers (SMP), Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) extended their winning streak to 7. So far, in the ongoing TNPL, CSG, as the only team of the tournament, has remained unbeaten and won all of their 7 matches. Before the match number 25, they had already qualified for the next round of the competition but did not show any intention to curb their progress. The rain-struck match in NPR College Cricket Ground settled through the application of the DLS method. In the second innings, the number of overs was reduced to 14. 

Toss and the first innings:

After winning the toss, CSG skipper Baba Aparajith chose to bowl first, and his decision proved right. His team played throughout the match according to their plan and got the desired result too. Vijay Shankar was awarded the man of the match prize for his all-around performance. The star India all-rounder got 3 wickets and scored a match-winning unbeaten 28. Atheeq Ur Rahman played a 41-run knock for Madurai, and Murugan Ashwin got 38. Without any individual big runs, SMP, in 20 overs, was restricted to 156 for 7. 

Second innings:

Over and the target reduced to 14 and 114, respectively. That was more than enough for CSG to wrap up the game. Within 13 overs, they achieved the target total. They achieved the target with a united effort.
