Pakistan has announced the squad for Asia Cup 2025. In a surprising twist, the team has dropped their premier players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Naseem Shah from the squad. The move to drop Babar and Rizwan came as the management cited strike issues of the duo and their desire to have a aggressive top order. Naseem Shah’s exclusion came as the pacer is running out of form in the T20Is.

Salman Ali Agha is set to lead the side and the fans on twitter have mixed reaction over the snubbing of star players. While some say the move was expected, others have cited the issue highlighted by the Pakistan management as the sole reason for neglecting the trio.
