Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the only cricketer to feature in the list of the top 10 most-searched people in the world

Vaibhav Suryavanshi became a household name in 2025 after becoming the youngest player to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at just 14 years old. His popularity grew rapidly after he smashed a 35-ball century, and since then, he has continued to rise with strong performances on the field. The year 2025 proved to be a breakthrough year for him as he also became the most searched cricketer on Google.

The teenager is the only cricketer in the list of the top 10 most searched people around the world, where he holds the sixth position. He has left behind legendary players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni, who are usually among the most searched names. Upcoming stars such as Rishabh Pant, Abhishek Sharma, and Shubman Gill also do not appear on the list despite their strong performances.

After shining in the IPL for the Rajasthan Royals, Suryavanshi also performed well for India A and in age-group cricket. He is currently one of the most talked-about young batsmen in Indian cricket. His achievements are not limited to the IPL, where he recorded the fastest century by an Indian. He also scored a 32-ball century for India A against the UAE in the Rising Stars Asia Cup.
