Virat Kohli once again won hearts off the field after meeting his former India U19 teammate Taruwar Kohli and his daughter ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2026 final. The heartwarming moment happened near the RCB team bus and quickly became viral on social media.
Taruwar Kohli, who was part of India’s 2008 U19 World Cup-winning team under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, shared a video of the meeting on Instagram. In the clip, Virat came out of the team bus specially to meet Taruwar and his daughter. During the interaction, Kohli smiled and asked the little girl, “Papa is also Kohli?” before posing for a photo with them.
Taruwar later shared an emotional message for Virat and praised him for staying humble despite becoming one of the biggest cricketers in the world. He wrote, “10 years. Different journeys. Same brotherhood. Fame changes people. It didn't change Virat.” The video quickly received love from cricket fans online.

Virat Kohli and Taruwar Kohli were teammates during India’s successful 2008 U19 World Cup campaign. While Virat went on to become one of the biggest stars in world cricket, Taruwar played domestic cricket for Punjab and Mizoram and also played for Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings in the IPL before retiring in 2024.

Even after achieving massive success, Virat’s warm interaction with his former teammate showed the strong bond they still share. Taruwar also wrote, “The world knows your records. I know your heart. Stay blessed, brother,” while sharing the viral video on Instagram. Fans praised Virat for staying grounded and respectful despite his superstar status.

RCB will now play the IPL 2026 final on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If Bengaluru wins the title again, Virat Kohli will lift the IPL trophy for the second year in a row after finally winning his first title with RCB in 2025.
