There’s no doubt that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is hugely popular all over India. He’s known for staying calm even in tough situations. This was evident at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam when Delhi Capitals faced Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024 match on Sunday.

Although all eyes were on DC captain Rishabh Pant, who was making a comeback after a car accident, the biggest cheers were for MS Dhoni. Even though he wasn’t the CSK captain anymore, the crowd loved him.

CSK, having won their previous matches, faced their first defeat. But fans were still happy because Dhoni batted for the first time in the tournament. And he didn’t disappoint. Dhoni scored an unbeaten 37 runs off 16 balls, including 3 sixes and 4 fours. His performance in the last over, scoring 20 runs against DC’s Anrich Nortje, was exceptional.
