The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowled out the mighty Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for just 165 runs in the first innings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The crowd present at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad were stunned by their home team's performance. The SRH batters struggled to convert the start they got from Travis Head and Ishan Kishan.

Meanwhile, KKR's bowling was outstanding, especially the spin attack. Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine troubled the batting line-up, giving them no scope to convert the momentum. This is a great chance for KKR to win the match and add another victory to their name.

Ajinkya Rahane picks up brilliant catch to dismiss Aniket Verma

SRH kept losing wickets in the middle overs, which is why they failed to score more runs. IN the 14th over, Varun Chakaravarthy bowled a full leggie delivery, and Aniket went on to slog it down. However, the ball hit the top edge of the bat and went straight up in the air. Captain Ajinkya Rahane ran towards the ball from the cover region.

He kept his eyes on the ball while moving and caught it safely. It was an incredible catch as it required a lot of concentration, as he was running behind. Aniket was dismissed for just six runs while he became Chakaravarthy's third wicket. Moreover, skipper Rahane also ended up taking two catches in the match. KKR players were fully involved in today's match, which is why they were able to restrict SRH to a low total.
