Tilak Varma missed the recent T20I series against New Zealand due to an abdominal injury. He was at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, undergoing rehab.
The warm-up game against the USA was his return to competitive cricket. He looked in good touch and rhythm and showed no signs of discomfort while batting.
Tilak is included in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. He is expected to play the opening game and regain full fitness.
