The Punjab Kings (PBKS) are taking on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 in New Chandigarh. It was RR skipper Riyan Parag who won the toss and decided to bowl first. Their decision was spot on as the home team lost Priyansh Arya early on in the innings. However, Captain Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh handled the innings well.

Iyer went on to hit a six off Yash Raj Punya, which was a great shot. The crowd was excited, and so was PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta, who was also present in the stadium to support her team. The team is in great form this season and are unbeaten as well. This is the longest run for a team to remain unbeaten in the IPL's history. In seven games, they have won six and one match was washed out due to rain.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer slammed a huge six off Yash Raj Punya in the ongoing match. Before hitting the six, Iyer changed his bat, so it worked perfectly fine for him as he took on the bowler confidently. Punya bowled a googly to which Iyer went on to hit it towards the over deep mid-wicket. 

He missed the pull short in the early overs, but not this time. The timing was absolutely correct, and that's why it went for a six. Iyer is in full form and has played some incredible knocks in the tournament this year. Under him, PBKS are also doing well, which is great news for the franchise. If they win today's match, they'll remain unbeaten in the tournament. 

Iyer scored 30 off 27 balls, including one boundary and six. Punya was the star of the match, picking up two wickets in four overs. However, he was expensive as he leaked 41 runs in his spell.
