Indian batter Virat Kohli fell cheaply during the second ODI against New Zealand in Wellington on Saturday (7th November, 2026). Chasing a target of 134 runs, Kohli walked out to bat with positive intent and opened his account with a beautiful cover drive. However, Jacob Duffy dismissed his RCB teammate in his second over.

Kohli tried to play an aggressive drive on the up, but the ball flew off the outer half of his bat towards cover. Will Young took a sharp catch to send the Indian batter back to the pavilion for just seven runs. Kohli's dismissal came in the fourth over, leaving India at 17/2 in 3.4 overs.

The wicket came just one ball after Rohit Sharma survived a swirling catch attempt. Duffy's breakthrough gave New Zealand an early advantage in the run chase, putting pressure on India's batting line-up.
