Chasing down the 208-run target, the hosts Mumbai Indians lost their first three wickets in less than three overs, scoring just 11 runs. The 32-year-old Caribbean left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein shone early in that innings. After dismissing opener Danish Malewar for a golden duck in the first over, Akeal took the wicket of the no.3 batter Naman Dhir in the third over.
On the third ball of the third over, Akeal bowled Naman for a duck as the MI batter was stunned. While the CSK left-arm spinner Akeal got his second wicket in the match, he brought the mask celebration. Sanju Samson's century guides CSK to big total

With the help of 10 fours and six sixes, Samson scored 101 not out off 54 balls, as CSK scored 207/6 in 20 overs. Apart from Samson, there was no other CSK batter to reach the 25-run mark, as most produced crucial cameos.
Akeal Hosein provides strong start for CSK in MI chasing
During MI chasing, Akeal Hosein provided a strong start, as he picked up two wickets in the powerplay while the hosts were battling at 11/3. MI ended the powerplay at 29 runs for 3 wickets, which was very poor, especially when chasing the 208-run target. Apart from Tilak Varma (37) and Suryakumar Yadav (36), all other MI batters failed to reach double-digit scores, as MI were bundled out for only 104 runs.
While CSK won the match by 103 runs, Akeal was the best bowler of the match. The left-arm spinner finished the game with the bowling figures of 4-1-17-4. Apart from Malewar and Naman, Akeal also dismissed the set batters Tilak and Suryakumar, as the visitors never lost control of the game in the second innings.
