Australian batter Travis Head finally showed his true destructive batting form in the IPL 2026, as he smashed Mumbai Indians bowlers while SunRisers Hyderabad are chasing a huge total at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday night (April 29). After producing a fiery knock, fans can't stop talking about his knock.

It is a crucial match for both Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad. While the hosts badly need wins to breathe better in the points table, SRH are eyeing a win to challenge the top teams for the playoffs journey. Although SRH are now an in-form team, winning their last four games before meeting the hosts MI on Wednesday, Head hasn't impressed much with his bat in this IPL season before the match.

In the first eight games of the IPL 2026, Head reached the 30-run mark three times, with the best score of 46 in their second game of the season. While MI scored huge runs in the first innings, SRH needed a strong start from both the openers, Abhishek Sharma. Both the visiting openers didn't disappoint the SRH fans, while Head finally produced the dangerous batting for which he is popular.

The South African left-handed batter smashed 123 not out off 55 balls, where he hit 10 fours and eight sixes, as MI recorded their third-highest total.

In reply, SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma had a fiery 129-run partnership for the first wicket. While Abhishek was dismissed for 45 off 24 balls, Head had some huge luck with one fortunate no-appeal dismissal and multiple catch drops; he scored 76 off 30 balls with four fours and eight sixes. It was his first half-century in the IPL 2026, which was completed in just 20 balls.
