Watch: Mukul Choudhary smashes Dhoni-like helicopter six during PBKS vs LSG clash in IPL 2026
Mukul Choudhary has again displayed his skill to smash the helicopter six during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Punjab Kings.

Chasing 256 runs during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against a strong Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowling line-up was never going to be an easy task for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Rishabh Pant, the LSG captain, provided some smiles on their faces with a few sixes, but a lone hand was never going to be enough in the mountain chase, especially when the Punjab side was switched on for the entire innings with some superb outfielding performance.
Mukul Choudhary hits helicopter six in IPL 2026
Mukul Choudhary had already changed the direction of the game in Lucknow’s favour during the clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens when he smashed a fine unbeaten half-century. But that evening, when he arrived, the game was totally out of their reach.
But he was again impressive with a shot that he seemed to have borrowed from someone who is the best in this business, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It was the third delivery of the 17th over when Vijaykumar Vyshak went full and tried to find the yorker against Mukul, who was prepared for the exact delivery.

He went under the ball and whipped it using the bottom hand as the follow-through took the ball sailing over the long-on fence for a helicopter six. The right-handed batter displayed so many of these shots in that KKR encounter, but to continue the same for the rest of the event was always going to be a tough job.
PBKS claim massive win despite poor fielding
Punjab registered their second-highest team score in the history of the event. They put on 254/7 in their allotted 20 overs, with Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly putting up a massive stand with the bat and celebrating their respective half-centuries. But they were poor in the field.
Shashank Singh dropped several catches, which didn’t matter much towards the end. But their head coach, Ricky Ponting, was not happy at all. Lucknow, meanwhile, fell short of the score by 54 runs. PBKS held their top position in the points table with a better net run rate.
Lucknow now finds themselves at the eighth position in the points table with two wins in six clashes as they now lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals at hoem on April 22, while Punjab gets break before their fixture against Delhi Capitals on April 25.
Brief Scores (at the time of writing): PBKS 254/7 (Priyansh Arya 93, Cooper Connolly 87, Prince Yadav 2/25) beat LSG 200/5 (Rishabh Pant 43, Marco Jansen 2/37) by 54 runs.
