New Zealand to host India for all-format series — Full schedule, dates, and venues
India will tour New Zealand for an all-format series, including five ODIs, five T20Is, and two Tests matches as the full schedule, dates, and venues have been revealed.

The New Zealand men’s team will start their international home summer later this year by hosting the Indian side in an all-format series from October 22 to December 1. The trip, which consists of 12 matches, will feature five T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests across the five major venues, as it will make the greatest number of games scheduled in an inbound tour in NZC history.
The Blackcaps will also host Sri Lanka for an all-format tour of three ODIs, three T20Is, and two Tests in late January and February after the end of their four-match red-ball series against Australia down under in December-January.

The India tour will begin in Christchurch’s Hagley Oval for the first two 20-over clashes, while Wellington, Auckland, and Hamilton will also host three T20Is. After a two-day gap, the ODI series will start on November 04 in Auckland and will also take place in Wellington, Hamilton, and Mount Maunganui.
The Two Tests will happen on November 19 in Wellington, followed by the second game in Christchurch starting on November 27.
“The New Zealand government will be supporting the inbound India tour alongside adjacent sporting tours by India later in the year, as 100 years of sporting ties between New Zealand and India are commemorated.” The NZC statement said.

“The passion and the following this team has is staggering - not to mention some of the players expected to tour, such as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah - so we're bracing for the intensity and fandom that will accompany the tour.” The NZC chief and commercial officer, Glenn Critchley, addressed.

New Zealand vs India head-to-head — Who has the edge going into the 2026 all-format series?
Overall, in the history of the game, India and New Zealand have faced each other 31 times. The former earned 19 victories and lost 11 clashes, while one game ended in a tie. The previous T20I between the two sides took place during the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 final in Ahmedabad when the Suryakumar Yadav-led side won their third title.

In the 50-over format, both sides took on each other in 123 encounters, where India gained 63 wins and faced 52 defeats. Meanwhile, seven games ended in a no-result while one game was tied. When the Kiwis toured India for the three-match series, they won a historic 2-1 series for the very first time.
In 65 Tests between the two sides, India have a lead of 22-16 in the head-to-head record. The Blackcaps whitewashed the blue brigade by 3-0 in the last red-ball series between the two opponents.
