In cricket, people often say catches win matches. If we look at the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, there were many catches dropped. However, all the catches were dropped by PBKS, which turned against them as Heinrich Klaasen slammed 69 runs in 43 balls, including three boundaries and four sixes.

SRH also set a target of 236 runs in the first innings, thanks to Klaasen and Nitish Reddy. In the second innings, SRH fielders were prompt and agile and kept taking catches. This helped them pick up six wickets in the match and are likely to win the contest and climb up to the first position in the points table.

Eshan Malinga and Pat Cummins take terrific catches to dismiss Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh

In the ongoing contest, Eshan Malinga and Pat Cummins claimed two brilliant catches to dismiss openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh. That was definitely the game-changing moment of the match since PBKS kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Arya was dismissed by Cummins, and the catch was taken by Malinga.

Meanwhile, Prabhsimran Singh was dismissed by Nitish Reddy on the first ball of his spell. SRH had a great run in the game as they won the match by 33 runs. Cooper Connolly tried his best to help PBKS win the match, but the rest of the players failed to provide a partnership.
