England announce 15-member squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
England has announced their 15-member squad for the forthcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which gets underway on June 12 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

England have picked the 18-year-old left-arm spinner, Surrey’s Tilly Corteen-Coleman, in their 15-player squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at home, which gets underway at Edgbaston on June 12. The youngster picked four wickets in four balls for South East Stars in the Charlotte Edwards Cup in 2024.
Tilly has since made a name for herself in the Women’s Hundred for Southern Brave and was namechecked by Edeward, their head coach, after an impressive performance in last month’s 30-player intra-squad trip to South Africa.

Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead the side as he enters her seventh 20-over WC while Surrey’s Danni Wyatt-Hodge will be featuring in her eighth, having turned 35 and been in fine form throughout the winter. However, the 19-year-old, Devina Perrin, missed the cut on this occasion.
Squad: Nat Sciver-Brunt, Lauren Bell, Alice Capsey, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Dani Gibson, Amy Jones, Freya Kemp, Heather Knight, Linsey Smith, Issy Wong, Danni Wyatt-Hodge
“The waiting and wondering are over. We have named our ICC Women's T20 World Cup squad, and there is no doubt that it has been incredibly tough to get to these 15 names. This is the hardest set of selection meetings I have been a part of because the pool of players to choose from is so strong and so many talented players have put their hand up to be a part of the squad, which is exactly what we want.” Edwards said in a press statement.
“An ICC Women's T20 World Cup on home soil is a special moment for the game in this country, and we are all really motivated by what could be ahead for this group of players and what they can achieve this summer.” Their head coach addressed.

Leg spinner, Sarah Glenn, has not been considered for selection in a spin-heavy line-up with three left-armers and an off-spinner.
“We have all been looking forward to this summer and this tournament for some time now, and the naming of the squad means it is almost here, and we can't wait to get out onto the field and give it everything to win this World Cup again. I know how much winning in 2009 meant to the players and to Charlotte Edwards as captain.” Nat Sciver informed.
“Being in the team under Heather Knight's leadership for the 2017 ODI World Cup win was incredibly special. "Now the aim is to do something similar with this fantastic group of players who I know are putting their heart and soul into achieving our goal.” The veteran shed light.
The World Cup squad will also face New Zealand and India leading into the event. They will begin the campaign against Sri Lanka on June 12 at Edgbaston and will face four more sides in the first stage of the competition.
