Ahead of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, stars from the Indian Men's team sent heartfelt messages to Harmanpreet Kaur and her squad before their blockbuster opening clash against Pakistan.

The Indian Women's team is all set to begin its ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with the biggest match of the tournament against Pakistan at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Ahead of the highly anticipated clash, several members of the Indian Men's team came together to send special messages and best wishes to Harmanpreet Kaur and her squad.

Several Indian men's cricketers, including Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir, shared heartfelt messages for the Women's team before the tournament.
Rohit Sharma said, "They've been playing really good cricket for the past few years now. I know in T20 cricket they've come very close, but I want this time around to go all the way. Everyone's rooting for them, they have a solid team, very well balanced team, and they'll enjoy playing in England. Best wishes, from all of us here in Men's Team India."
Gautam Gambhir said, "I'm sure that you're gonna make 140 crore Indians proud, many, not many people get the opportunity to represent the country at the world stage. Don't be scared of making a mistake. Every time you're in doubt, take the positive route. Good luck, bring the cup home."
Shubman Gill said, "You guys have won it before, and you'll do it again. Our full wishes to you and all the best for the World Cup."
Ishan Kishan said, "I think just, take it as another game. You all have been doing so good throughout the season. I feel you have been playing amazing cricket. So just keep it simple, trust what you have done throughout the year, and I think things will just fall into place if you keep it simple. And we all are very proud of you all, and we hope we win this trophy."

India's men's team have been in excellent form recently. They defeated Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in the one-off Test at Mullanpur, with debutant Manav Suthar winning Player of the Match for his brilliant 6/33. India then continued their winning run in the first ODI at Dharamsala, beating Afghanistan by seven wickets in a rain-shortened match to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
India women start T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Pakistan — The biggest game to begin with
India Women will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan in one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament. Harmanpreet Kaur's side will be hoping to continue the momentum from their ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 triumph and finally lift their first Women's T20 World Cup title.
After facing Pakistan, India will take on the Netherlands at Headingley before meeting South Africa on June 21 in Manchester. They will then face Bangladesh on June 25 before finishing their group-stage campaign against Australia at Lord's on June 28.
