Even in the previous Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash, Rajasthan Royals’ Ravindra Jadeja displayed hiswicket in the pocketcelebration after picking up a wicket, and he continued the same during the contest against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

It was a vital encounter for both sides. Rajasthan Royals were led by Yashasvi Jaiswal due to the injury of captain Riyan Parag, who was ruled out of the game due to a hamstring injury that he picked up a week ago in the last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On the first delivery of the 12th over of the first innings, Jos Buttler went inside out through the covers for a lovely boundary as Jadeja wasn’t up to the mark with his length. He had a decent record in the shortest format against the left-arm spinner.

However, India’s T20 World Cup winner had his revenge on the very first delivery against Buttler. It was a hit-me ball. The right-handed batter wanted to thump it down the ground but mistimed it high and got holed out at the long-off region into the hands of Dovovan Ferreira.

Jadeja came up with his iconic celebration, where he showed Buttler how he kept his wicket in his pocket. That was the third time the spinner had the better of the wicket-keeper in T20s at a strike rate of 124.24 with 82 runs off 66 balls. The spinner now has seven wickets out of 10 games in this camaign against the right-handed batters.
