Pakistan continued to produce some funny run-outs during the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 against South Africa as Nashra Sandhu was dismissed in mix-up with captain Fatima Sana.

During the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash between Pakistan and South Africa at Edgbaston in Birmingham, the former continued to experience some hilarious and horror run-outs, and Nashra Sandhu’s runout would be in the history books among one of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 funny run-outs.
The Fatima Sana-led side found themselves under tremendous pressure when they found themselves five down for just 29 runs on the board inside the powerplay and didn’t recover from thereon in the next few overs to be reduced to 50/8 in 10.4 overs.

Pakistan had some shocking miscommunication in the middle as they faced four run-outs. One of the most horrific run-outs in Pakistan women’s collapse was of Nashra Sandhu’s two-ball duck in the 11th over of the innings.

On the fourth ball of the over, Nashra chipped the full delivery from Nadine de Klerk over the bowler and set off for a quick single. In that process, the bowler jumped and tried to grab the ball. The mid-on fielder, meanwhile, got across and fired in a throw at the wicket-keeper’s end.

Nashra was nowhere near making the single. Her partner, Fatima Sana, at the other end got a tangle with the bowler, after the latter tried to catch the ball and fell in front of her, making it hard for her to complete the single. Both batters were stranded at the same end, and Sandhu sacrificed her wicket for the captain of the side.

On the very first ball of the game, Marizane Kapp trapped Muneeba Ali before the stumps for the golden duck. Their top five failed to get a score in the double figures, as none of the top seven were able to get anything on the board from the batting point of view, as the Proteas seemed to be blowing away the opposition under 100.
But Fatima came to the rescue and smashed a fine unbeaten knock of 55 runs off 38 balls at a strike rate of 144.74, thanks to six boundaries and a couple of sixes in a vital 71-run stand with Tuba Hassan for the ninth wicket to finish with 127/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
South Africa, despite a good start, lost their route in the middle and tried hard to make it an interesting game. Annerie Dercksen smashed 52 runs off 35 balls as the Rainbow Nation finally got their first points of the table to hand Pakistan their second successive defeat of the campaign.
