During the fourth innings of the opening Test between West Indies and Pakistan at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba in Trinidad, the touring captain, Babar Azam, remained unbeaten on 58 runs while the rest of the batting department couldn’t stand before the home bowling line-up. The visitors got bundled out for 120, losing the contest by 90 runs.
Babar, in the first innings, was dismissed for 23 runs in 38 balls at a strike rate of 60.53 with the help of three boundaries. The right-handed batter, in the second innings, smacked 58* off 107 balls, shouldering nine boundaries.

On the first delivery of the 29th over, Babar reluctantly walked for a single and brought Mohammad Ali on strike. And Ali was dismissed on the very next delivery of the over as he edged the ball from Shamar Joseph into the hands of the second slip.

West Indies, in the first innings, were bundled out for 311 runs, thanks to the two knocks of 84 and 92 runs from Kavem Hodge and Shai Hope. The former got the runs on the back of his nine boundaries while Hope cracked those 92 runs, shouldering six boundaries and one six.

Shan Masood’s superb knock of 109 runs put the visitors in a stable position before a batting collapse saw them lose seven wickets for 38 runs. Based on the 29-run lead, the Roston Chase-led side put 181 runs on the board in the third innings and set a target of 211 runs.
Pakistan were blown away for 120 runs in the fourth innings and lost the encounter by 120 runs and went 1-0 down in the two-match series.
