Before making his Test debut for Pakistan during the third Test of the series against England at Edgbaston, reports claimed that Razaullah didn’t have a passport. But the new 21-year-old all-rounder of the side has refuted those claims, clarifying that his passport was obtained a year before his selection for the team.

Razaullah walked out to bat at number 9 during the second innings of the third Test and smashed a dashing knock of 81 runs off just 63 balls with the help of four boundaries and nine sixes at a strike rate of 128.57, including the 121-run ninth-wicket stand with Mohammad Abbas.

Razaullah shuts down viral passport claims: "The story is fake”

The false claims regarding the passport of Razaullah circulated widely across social media platforms. These reports suggested that the player obtained his passport only a week before his departure to the United Kingdom for his debut, implying an irregular process.

The player addressed these viral claims, stating that all those reports are false. In an Instagram reel, he denied those rumours. He confirmed that he possessed the passport even a year before his selection for the England trip.

“The passport story is fake. My passport was made a year ago.” He addressed the press conference after smashing the record-breaking knock, where the Joe Root-led side looked clueless with their planning around the field and with the bowling line-up.

Nine sixes, a 121-run stand, and a record-equalling innings at No. 9 by Razaullah

Razaullah smashed his first six of the knock on the second delivery of the 76th over of the innings when he smoked Josh Tongue into the crowd before smashing three sixes in a single over against Gus Atkison. The second six was nailed into the hotel under construction at the deep mid-wicket region. The last six of the over was cleared over the long-on region.

The right-handed batter celebrated his maiden half-century off just 43 balls with a six against Jofra Archer. He muscled the ball over the long-off region before getting under the delivery against Atkinson and slapping it flat way beyond the fence for a six.
