After celebrating his maiden international half-century during the first T20I of the three-match series against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has continued the same aggression and onslaught batting during the third clash as he smashed a 102-meter six out of the stadium. 

Sooryavanshi, having done so well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 for the Rajasthan Royals, got the chance in international cricket. After his failure against England, he got the chance in Zimbabwe and showed his class with the bat.

It was the third delivery of the 13th over of the innings from Sikandar Raza, the Zimbabwe captain. The off-spinner dropped the ball on the length after seeing Sooryavanshi coming down the track. But the left-handed batter was able to adjust the line and lofted it down the ground for a massive six.

The ball flew out of the stadium for a 102-meter six. The smile on the Zimbabwe captain told the story as he was taken aback by the power of the 15-year-old, who didn’t sweat much to smash the big shot.

At the start of the encounter, he pulled the lanky pacer, Blessing Muzarabani, in the same manner as the ball sailed over the boundary rope for the same result.

How India's batters piled on the runs to push for a series whitewash over Zimbabwe

Just like the first couple of games, Abhishek Sharma went back to the pavilion early after getting an outside edge into the hands of the wicket-keeper off the bowling of Muzarabani. Ishan Kishan also struggled for his 29 runs off 26 balls with the help of four boundaries.

However, Sooryavanshi was in his mood as he clubbed a dashing knock of 81 runs off 49 balls at a strike rate of 165.31, with the help of eight boundaries and four sixes. He was dismissed due to the superb diving air-borne catch from Brad Evans as the Indian side crossed the 150-run mark in the 16th over of the innings.
