The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 has already produced several superb catches in this edition of the tournament and continues to do so as Navin Bidaisee’s stunning airborne catch went viral during the encounter between the Barbados Tridents and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. 

After the end of this clash, the Barbados stayed at the bottom of the points table, having earned only a couple of victories at the net run rate of -0.784. Meanwhile, the St Kitts, with the win, have gone up to the fifth rank with two victories in seven fixtures at a NRR of -0.512.

How Navin Bidaisee pulled off a sensational diving grab to dismiss De Kock

On the second delivery of the eighth over of the first innings during the contest, Naseem Shah went with a low full toss close to the off stump, as Quinton de Kock lofted the drive towards the deep cover. The fielder ran across from the right, put in a full-stretch drive, and took it just above the ground, which was inches in front of the ropes.

Earlier in the clash, Navin Bidaisee dropped a simple catch but later took a blinder. It was a fine catch to dismiss De Kock, who celebrated a brilliant century and walked back to a standing ovation from everyone present at the venue.

The left-handed South African batter was incredibly vital to the cause of Tridents’ scoring aggressive runs towards the end of the innings.

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots chase down 218 to beat Barbados Tridents by 6 wickets

Barbados, batting first, posted a massive score of 217 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. After the fine 57-run knock off 36 balls, thanks to seven sixes and one boundary, from Zachary Carter, de Kock nailed a superb knock of 106 runs in just 57 balls, shouldering on 11 boundaries and six sixes at a strike rate of 185.96. Sherfane Rutherford drilled 26 runs off 16 balls.

St Kitts completed the chase of 220 runs by six wickets with five balls to spare. Their opener, Johnson Charles, smashed a superb knock of 78 runs in 45 balls, thanks to six boundaries and seven sixes at a strike rate of 173.33. Andre Fletcher nailed unbeaten 22 runs off eight balls.

Brief Scores: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 220/4 (Johnson Charles 78, Daniel Sams 2/40) beat Barbados Tridents 217/4 (Quinton de Kock 106, Naseem Shah 2/43) by 6-wickets.
