The young opener, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, reacted to his brother Aashirwad's sensational and superb knock of 168 runs ahead of his potential T20I debut against Ireland in Belfast.

The young sensational opening batter of the Indian side, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who is expected to mark his debut in the T20I side during the two-match series against Ireland in Belfast, has praised his younger brother, Aashirwad Sooryavanshi, after his superb knock of 168 runs. 

The 10-year-old already marked his name in the headline after he celebrated the first century of his career in a local practice match, which was played in Samastipur. Playing for his cricket academy, the youngster drilled a dashing knock of 103 runs off just 87 deliveries.

In that knock, Aashirwad hit 20 boundaries and one six during the innings as his elder brother, Ujjwal Sooryavanshi, shared that photo and scorecard of the right-handed batter’s century on social media. Aashirwad played an explosive innings of 103 runs off 87 balls- featuring those boundaries at a strike rate of 118.39.

That was the moment when his father, Sanjeev Sooryavanshi, appeared extremely delighted and wrote, “Aashirwad Suryavanshi scored his first century in a practice match today. I request you all to continue showering your love and blessings upon Aashirwad as well.”

That innings took place on June 13, while around 10 days later, he continued the same impressive aggression in the batting and thumped another massive knock of 168 runs for Rishav 11 in just 119 balls at a strike rate of 141.18, thanks to 19 boundaries and six sixes. His team ended up with 311/7 in 40 overs.

Sooryavanshi smacked 776 runs during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 for the Rajasthan Royals at an average of 48.50 in just 16 innings at a blistering strike rate of 237.30, thanks to five half-centuries and one century at the best score of 103 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

He was recently part of the Tri Series 2026 in Sri Lanka for the India A side and smashed a jaw-dropping knock of 94 runs off just 29 balls at a strike rate of 324.13, with the help of 10 boundaries and eight sixes. That was included in his 11-ball fifty, which is the fastest List A half-century in the history of the game.

The Bihar-born is in line to become the youngest player to make his debut for India. At just 15 years old, he is way ahead in that record than Sachin Tendulkar, who made his debut during a Test match against Pakistan at the age of 16 years and 205 days in 1989.
